a Life in the internet cafe...
everyday I see people going into internet cafes to do personal wants, it may be for school, for fun, and even personal things. I also can't survive a week without going inside a internet cafe even though I have my own personal computer with internet! For me it is the place to just think of nothing and release all the stress that is building up inside me because of the pressures in school and in life. This si where my friends bond with each other playing counter strike and trash talking with them when they lose. It is really fun especially when everybody is screaming because of the excitement the game brings to us. It also the time when I do my homeworks especially when our internet is slaw like what i'm doing right now. This is also a place for socializing with different kinds of people sharing there knowledge of the games they play and experiences. People may think that internet cafes our bad for us students because they think that this is one of the reasons why students our having bad grades, but for me I think it only depends on the person. For me it is really a great help for student who does'nt have there own PC, it really has a great help when it comes to researches and assignments like today. So stop the thinking that internet cafes our bad for our students. If there is something to change it's not internet cafes but the people using it...

An Internet cafe is many things to many people. For some it is a refuge from the dreariness of real life (you probably belong to this category). For others it is a place for study and research.
I definitely agree with you that passing a sweeping judgment on Internet cafes is unwise because the value of Internet cafes is relative.
However, according to statistics, many young people today are lured by online gaming, which is believed to be addictive. This could be detrimental to a student's academic health--and the parents' financial health.
